I was told that your company had been in the

furniture industry for many years. What kinds of

products do you generally handle?

询盘( Inquiry)是交易的一方为购买或销售货物而向对方提出的有关交易条件的询问。询盘通常由买方发出,发出询盘的目的既是探寻价格和有关交易条件,也是表示一种交易愿望。询盘也可以由卖方发出。[qh]

询盘的内容可涉及价格、规格、品质、数量、包装、装运以及索取样品等,而多数情况下是询问价格。所以,业务上常把询盘称作询价。[qh]

还有的是要求对方收到询盘后及时作出发盘,以便考虑是否接受。这种询盘,实际上属于邀请发盘,习惯上称为“索盘”。[qh]

1.买方询盘,指由买方发出的询盘,习惯上叫“邀请发盘”,如:[qh]

2.卖方询盘,指由卖方发出的询盘,习惯上叫“邀请递盘”,如:[qh]

从法律上讲,询盘对于询盘人和被询盘人均无约束力。买方不承担一定要购买的义务,卖方也不承担一定要出售的责住。其间接的意图是建立贸易合同关系,同时也是商界惯用的打听市场行情和对方业务状况的一种手段。[qh]

询盘的书面格式并无要求,但是询盘中往往采用“请寄”、“请提供”、“请告”“有兴趣”、“拟购”、“可供”、“请报”、“请发盘”、“请递盘”等术语。[qh]
