BEIJING - China's top Internet regulator on Sunday ordered the microblogging platforms of Sina and Tencent to shut down the accounts of Ren Zhiqiang, a celebrity blogger and property developer, for spreading illegal information.
北京消息，周日，中国最高互联网监管责令新浪、腾讯等网站关闭任志强微博账号，知名大V、房地产开发商任志强因传播非法信息被关闭账号。

shut down the accounts是关闭账号；property developer是房地产开发商。
国家网信办发言人姜军发表谈话称，网络空间（cyberspace）不是法外之地（a lawless field），任何人不得利用网络传播违法信息（spread illegal information）。
姜军表示，据网民举报，任志强微博账号持续公开发布违法信息（regularly posted illegal information），影响恶劣（vile influence）。
根据（in accordance with）《全国人民代表大会常务委员会关于维护互联网安全（safeguard Internet security）的决定》《国务院关于授权国家互联网信息办公室负责互联网信息内容管理工作（manage online information and content）的通知》等法律法规，国家网信办责令新浪、腾讯等有关网站依法关闭任志强微博账号。
姜军指出，无论是互联网信息服务提供者（Internet service providers）还是网民（netizens），都应增强自律意识（enhance awareness）和底线（bottom line）意识，坚守法律法规底线、坚守社会主义制度（the socialist system）底线、坚守国家利益底线、坚守公民合法权益（citizen's legal interests）底线、坚守社会公共秩序（social order）底线、坚守道德风尚（ethics）底线、坚守信息真实性（the authenticity of information）底线。
网络名人、“网络大V”更要正确运用自身影响力（use their influence correctly），模范遵守法律法规（exemplify in observing laws），自觉承担社会责任（shoulder their due social responsibilities），积极传播正能量（promote "positive energy" actively）。
国家网信办将加大（intensify）网上信息内容监督管理（monitor and manage online information and content）执法力度（law enforcement efforts），决不允许已被关闭账号（the closed accounts）的用户以“换马甲”等方式改头换面再次注册（register again）。
