A criminal suspect who injured a doctor in a downtown hospital in Ordos, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was approved for arrest on Monday on suspicion of intentional homicide.

周一，在中国北部内蒙古自治区鄂尔多斯市中心医院行凶伤医的犯罪嫌疑人以涉嫌故意杀人罪被批准逮捕。

3月21日，鄂尔多斯市中心医院发布声明称，3月19日中午12时45分许，血液净化室主治医师汤某在为患者王某某做透析（dialysis）准备时，患者王某某趁汤医生不备持刀将其刺伤（stabbed with a knife）。
事件发生后，医院第一时间报警（immediately alerted the police），立即成立医疗救治专家组（set up a medical treatment expert group），组织抢救（organized a rescue），并和北京医疗专家（medical experts）远程会诊（remote consultation），共同制定治疗方案（jointly formulate treatment plans for the injured doctor）。
经过全力救治，受伤医生目前伤情平稳（in stable condition），无生命危险（not life-threatening）。
