四件中国古代瓷器将拍出2400万英镑的高价

An extremely rare cup is expected to fetchmore than £24million when it goes under the hammer next month.

The Chenghua 'Chicken cups' were producedin extremely small quantities and there are now just four left in the hands ofprivate owners.

Only a handful of museums across the globeboast an example in their collections - including London museums, the BritishMuseum, and the Victoria and Albert Museum.

The exclusive cup has been predicted to fetch a record breaking eight-figuresum when it sells at auction in Hong Kong next month.

Nicolas Chow, Deputy Chairman of Sotheby'sAsia said: ‘It is a great privilege for us to offer this iconic 'chicken cup'again at auction, 15 years after it broke a world record for Chinese art backin 1999.

苏富比亚洲区的副主席说:“我们很荣幸15年后再次拍卖这只标志性的‘鸡杯’,1999年的时候这只杯子打破了中国艺术品的世界拍卖纪录。”

‘Ever since the Ming dynasty when they wereproduced, Chenghua period 'chicken cups' have been praised and treasured byemperors and connoisseurs.

“从开始生产这种杯子的明朝开始,成化时期的‘鸡杯’被历代皇帝和鉴赏家所赞美和珍视。”

‘Given their extreme rarity, they are by definition the crowning glory of anycollection of Chinese porcelain.’

“由于非常罕见珍贵,所以在任何的中国瓷器收藏中,这都是至高的荣耀。”

The cups were first created in the Chenghua reign between 1465-1487 and werereproduced by Ming, 1368-1644, and Qing,1644-1911, emperors.

这种杯子开创于1465-1487的成化时期,明清朝代的皇帝多有重复生产。

The piece will go on sale at the FineChinese Ceramics and Works of Art Spring Sale on April 8 at the Hong KongConvention and Exhibition Centre.

这件宝贝将在4月8号香港会展中心举行的中国陶瓷与艺术精品春拍上进行拍卖。
