日本首相安倍晋三向靖国神社送祭祀费

Regardless of the feelings among people in neighboring countries, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe sent a ritual offering to the war-linked Yasukuni Shrine in Tokyo last Monday, on the 71st anniversary of Japan's unconditional surrender in World War II.

上周一,日本首相安倍晋三不顾邻国人民感受,在日本二战无条件投降71周年纪念日向位于东京、与二战有关的靖国神社献上祭祀费。

Abe is reportedly to refrain from visiting the notorious shrine during the day to prevent further damage to Japan's relationship with China and South Korea, said Kyodo News.

据共同社报道,为避免进一步破坏与中国、韩国的关系,安倍当日未亲赴这一臭名昭著的神社。

Meanwhile, Japan's Deputy Chief Cabinet Secretary Koichi Hagiuda visited the shrine last Monday morning.

Yasukuni Shrine honors 14 Class-A convicted war criminals among 2.5 million Japanese war dead from WWII and is regarded as a symbol of the past Japanese militarism.
