Many auto dealers in China are exaggerating the problems of vehicles that come in for repair in order to make more profit, according to a report by China Central Television in its annual 3/15 Gala program.
据央视315晚会曝光，中国许多汽车经销商会夸大前来维修汽车的问题以谋取暴利。

【讲解】

auto dealers是汽车经销商；make profit是获利。
据调查，夸大点火线圈（induction coil of the ignition system）的问题，让顾客更换点火系统（ignition system）中的各种零件（components），这种小病大修的比例达到73%。
在北京、天津、上海和杭州等地的东风日产乘用车公司（Dongfeng Nissan Passenger Vehicle Co）、上海大众（Shanghai Volkswagen）以及梅赛德斯-奔驰（Mercedes-Benz）运营的汽车经销店（car dealerships），只需将点火线圈插头插（plug in）实便可解决问题，却让顾客花费了数千元进行维修。
中国消费者协会（China Consumers' Association）在周日公布的报告中表示，2014年全国消协组织受理汽车产品投诉情况。在众多车企中，上海大众的投诉量最多（the most consumer complaints），为863件。
同时，路虎中国（Land Rover China）因多位消费者投诉变速箱问题（gearbox problems）会导致车辆突然停止（suddenly stopping）或倒档失灵（problems engaging the reverse gear）成为焦点（under the spotlight）。
315晚会（3/15 Gala program）由中央电视台和国家质量监督检验检疫总局（General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine）、国家工商行政管理总局（State Administration for Industry and Commerce）等部门联合主办，揭露商业不当行为（business misconduct），保护消费者权益（defend consumers' rights），自1991年开始每年在3月15日国际消费者权益日（World Consumer Rights Day）播出。
