周四，株洲县宣传部（publicity department）证实，女教师（female teacher）因罚站学生被带到派出所（police station）调查一事属实，带队抓女教师的副所长（deputy director）即为被罚站女学生的父亲，该副所长已被停职（suspend）。目前，调查正在紧张进行中。
据此前的新闻报道，周二早上，27岁的年轻女教师何老师，被渌口镇派出所的几个警察（police officers），直接从教室带走（hauled up from the classroom），在审讯室里（interrogation room），被关押（detain）了7个多小时，下午三点左右才被放出（release）。
事情的起因是，班里的一个女孩因为迟到（late），何老师让她在教室前面站了几分钟（stand in front of the classroom for a few minutes）。
这名学生很快给妈妈打电话，妈妈又给孩子爸爸打电话，孩子爸爸立刻开着警车，带着警察，闯进学校，将何老师带到派出所（take the female teacher to the police station）。
从派出所出来（leave the police station）后，何老师在微信群（WeChat group）里说：“我不知道是谁给了渌口镇派出所副所长一个这样的权力（power）？我从来没有因为孩子迟到，打过哪个孩子一巴掌（slap）！我勤勤恳恳教书（work so diligently），为什么会受到这样的待遇（receive such a treatment）。”
