本次汉译英选自胡锦涛在20国集团领导人第四次峰会上的讲话。属于经济改革的范畴，同时也和经济危机有着一定的联系。 除了对一些经济术语，常见词汇和固定短语的记忆之外，在翻译时尤其要注重句子的重组。

第一段中第一个中文句子里，短句较多，要分析这些句子之间的逻辑关系，然后用英文的形式表达出来。 “推进国际金融监管改革，建立有利于实体经济发展的国际金融体系”是吸取教训的目的，因此可以用so as to来表示这种关系，这里“正本清源，对症下药”就是指找到事情的根源，然后找出对应的解决办法，只要能翻译出这层意思即可，在这里把它处理为做事的方式放在by后面，从而实现和整个句子的结合。“本着…的原则”则译为based on the principles of …。第二个句子没有主语，因此可以译为被动句，前两个短句是并列关系，可以while或者and链接，最后一个短句表目的。

第二段中，第一句为简单句，有机统一，可以说organic unity或者organic combination。 第二句是三个并列的短句，主语全是“我们”，译为并列谓语句即可。第三句比较长，也要注意不同短句间的逻辑关系。可以把本句断成两句，前一句说客观情况，后面讲实现的办法。为了实现两个句子的过渡，这里加了“to achieve this”，注意代词经常用来起过渡作用。一蹴而就是指事情轻而易举，一下子就成功，这里用“be done overnight”来表示。其次，要注意这里的“照顾”是指考虑到的意思，因此不宜翻为“take care of”，而是译为了“take sth into account”的被动形式。

翻译这类政治经济类的文章时，要注意常见副词，形容词和动词的掌握。如形容词“可持续的，平衡的”，动词“推动，推进，建立，保持，实现，把握，考虑，尊重”等，这些都是反复会用到的词，一定要牢牢掌握。其次就是分析短句的逻辑关系，然后进行组合，对于无主句要多注意被动句的使用。
