“问题胶囊”事件折射药品安全问题——自从媒体曝光一些药用胶囊“铬超标”，对人体有害之后，人们的谴责声浪就在不断高涨。

上面报道中的toxic capsule就是“问题胶囊”。据报道，个别企业用生石灰将waste leather(皮革废料)进行漂白熬制成industrial gelatin(工业明胶)，随后以此为原料制造drug capsule(药用胶囊)，并销售给一些知名药品企业。在leather tanning(皮革鞣制)过程中会产生大量铬，易导致癌症。目前一些药企已开始recall(召回)相关药品。

为了避免吃到chromium-contaminated capsules(铬污染胶囊)，不少人开始研究吃胶囊药的新方法。有人直接吞食胶囊内的medicinal powder(药粉)，不过此举有可能会导致食道被灼伤。还有人想出了“馒头包药”法，用馒头皮代替胶囊。不过在这之前，你还得确认你买的馒头不是含有artificial coloring(人工色素)的tainted steamed buns(染色馒头)。
