大超预期! 腾讯三季度营运利润同比大增57%

Tencent smashed through forecasts with a 57% year-on-year jump in third-quarter operating profit to 22.75 billion yuan, as the Chinese tech group ramped up revenues on the back of its wildly popular mobile games.

Forecasters had expected operating profit of 19.77 billion yuan.

Tencent shares have doubled so far this year and the group, founded by Pony Ma, has a stock market capitalization of 470 billion dollars.

It builds on its success in fantasy role-playing game "Honor of Kings", which hit revenues of 26.84 billion yuan in third-quarter, up 48% year-on-year.

Ma Huateng said the company recorded strong business growth in games, digital content, online advertising and payment related services.

Analysts said the new market value put Tencent in the same camp as US tech giants Apple, Alphabet, Microsoft, Amazon and Facebook.
