美国首位女性穆斯林法官的尸体在哈德逊河里被发现

(Reuters) - A groundbreaking black jurist who became the first Muslim woman to serve as a U.S. judge was found dead in New York's Hudson River on Wednesday, police said.

Sheila Abdus-Salaam, a 65-year-old associate judge of New York's highest court, was found floating off Manhattan's west side at about 1:45 p.m. EDT (1545 GMT), a police spokesman said.

If this is ruled a homicide, the guilty party should be hanged from the tallest lamp post in the city. And if it is murder, a murder like this is not merely personal it is an attack on the judiciary and on a woman who put her duty as an American ahead of all else.

All these people who have hateful things to say, just remember this isn't about gender, race or religion. This is a human being whose life was most likely been taken from her and people close to her are in mourning. Have respect.
