星巴克未来计划推出酒精类饮料

Pre-drinks at Starbucks? That's probably not a phrase you would have expected one of your mates to say but it's becoming a reality。

The coffee chain have now announced as part of a new 'evening menu' to start after 4pm each day, beer and wine will be available for those who have had enough caffeine throughout the day。

It's not just alcohol introduced on the new menu though, hot meals and late night snacks will also be made available. The idea is to lengthen the business hours of the company and increase revenue with the idea to combat competitors such as McDonald's and Krispy Kreme Donuts entering the coffee game by selling more adult drinks late in the day, bringing a new meaning to 'coffee bar'。

Like with anything good that's introduced, it will be trialled in one location first, the Starbucks in Stansted Airport, before being rolled out to the rest of their 700 cafes in the UK。

Americans in Chicago, Atlanta and Seattle have already been able to order a round at their local Starbucks and the company are considering introducing alcoholic drinks for sale in Canada as well as in the UK。
