Similar to a Linzer Torte, these cookies are of Austrian origin and are a holiday favorite in many European countries. The cookie is made of flour, butter, egg yolks, lemon zest, cinnamon, and a variety of nuts. The filling is usually made of redcurrant jam, plum butter, raspberry jam or apricot jam.
