3.详细解说

1.“sort of”的意思是“有几分,有点儿”,例如:I sort of like him.(我有点儿喜欢他。)
2.“give up”的意思是“放弃,停止”,在文中与“quit"意思相同,且用法也一致:它们后面都要接“名词或动词ing结构”。例如:The police gave up their search.(警察停止了他们的搜查。)I wish I could quit drinking.(我真希望自己能戒酒。)
3.“make up one's mind”的意思是“下定决心,拿定主意”,例如:He made up his mind to become a doctor when he was ten.(他在十岁的时候下定决心要当医生。)
