看电影学口语：你的专属头脑特工队

喜怒哀乐，人之常情。关于情绪管理，迪士尼出过一部优秀作品——《头脑特工队》。我们要学会接纳和管理自己的情绪。当然，英语君选择它也是因为片中有很多我们可以学习和使用的口语句型。

1. not to brag

不是吹牛

These are Riley’s memories. And they are mostly happy as you notice, not to brag.

这些是莱利的记忆。正如你看到的，它们中大部分都是快乐的，可不是我在吹牛。

Notes: brag的意思是“吹牛，自夸”。not to brag的意义为“不是吹牛，不要自吹自擂”。例如：

I’m the best football player in the team, not to brag.

不是我吹牛，我是队里最棒的。

Please try not to brag too loudly even if you win something.

即使你赢了，也请试着不要那么大声的自吹自擂。

2. A real page turner.

一本引人入胜的好书。

Notes: 又是一个形象的口语句子。如果一本书让你不想放下，一口气翻完，该是多棒的一本书。a page turner的意思就是“引人入胜的书或者体验”。例如：

This novel written by a famous Japanese writer is a real page turner.

这本由一位日本著名作家创作的小说非常引人入胜。

3. lay people off

裁员

We only got capital that’ll last a month maybe two. If we can’t find investors by then, we are gonna have to lay people off.

我们的资金只够维持一到两个月。如果那个时候我们还找不到投资人，就只能裁员了。

Notes: 美式英语，表示“辞退，解雇”。例如：

That company has to lay people off because of a financial problem.

因为资金问题，那家公司不得不裁员。

4. I rest my case.

Notes: ”I rest my case.”用于与人争论的过程中，通常在说完自己的看法之后加上这句。例如：

Here is no good for his health because of the bad air. We should move back to our hometown. I rest my case.

这里空气太差，对他的身体一点儿好处都没有。我们应该搬回老家。我讲完了。

5. roll your eyes

翻白眼

Sir, she just rolled her eyes at us.

长官，她刚才朝我们翻了个白眼。

Notes: roll somebody’s eyes at somebody表示“朝某人翻了个白眼”，表明态度上的不尊重，有种不耐烦的感觉。例如：

I rolled my eyes at them because they just gossiped about me.

我朝他们翻了个白眼，因为他们刚才在说我的闲话。

6. run into

偶遇

I’m so glad that we ran into you.

遇到你我们真开心。

Notes: run into somebody表示“偶然遇到什么人”。例如：

I ran into a former colleague in the shopping mall today.

我今天在购物中心遇见了以前的同事。
